Introduction

The Welcome Reward feature in Eber allows businesses to create special rewards for new users who have just signed up on your platform. This feature enhances customer engagement by making customers feel welcomed and create a positive first impression that encourages ongoing engagement with your brand.

Step by Step Guide

  1. Navigate to the Loyalty tab in the Eber XM dashboard

  2. Select Rewards to access the rewards creation page

  3. Activate the reward by selecting Active to make it visible to users

  4. Choose the appropriate reward type: a. Standard for businesses without integrations but also if applicable if you are integrated with selected third party apps b. POS for businesses with specific third party apps

  5. Enter a Reward Title (e.g., "Welcome to ABC and Co.")

  6. Set Points Needed to "0" since this is a free welcome reward (optional)

  7. Upload a Cover Photo to make your reward visually appealing

8. Add a Reward Description such as "Welcome to ABC and Co. We are happy to have you here. Please enjoy this 5% off your first spending."

9. Complete the Reward Description of the Claim (e.g., "Thank you for visiting, we hope to see you again.")

10. Define Terms and Conditions including expiry date, validity period, minimum spending requirements, and redemption locations

11. Configure the Claim and Use Button settings for your web app

12. Set a Password to Confirm Usage if needed for store app security

13. In the Limits tab, set "Limit Claim Per Member" to "1" to ensure the welcome reward is only available to first-time users

14. Define the Quantity Available for this reward (e.g., unlimited but only to members in Basic tier only since it is for first-time users only), refer step 16.

15. Set the Expiry of Claim (e.g., 7 days after claiming)

16. In the Target tab, set claim limitations to target specific member tiers (typically the basic member tier for new users)

Tips

  • Keep welcome rewards simple and easy to claim

  • Use engaging visuals and clear messaging to attract new users

  • Ensure terms and conditions are clearly stated

  • Set reasonable expiration dates to encourage timely use
