Setting up targeted rewards in Eber allows businesses to create personalized reward experiences for different customer segments or membership tiers. This feature enables you to offer specific rewards to designated groups of customers based on their membership level, behavior patterns, or special dates like birthdays.

Step by Step Guide

Target by Tier

  1. Navigate to the Rewards section in your Eber dashboard

  2. Select or create the reward you want to target to specific tiers

  3. Under Target settings, find the Target by Tier option

  4. Select which membership tiers (basic, silver, gold, etc.) should have access to this reward Note: Contacts refers to all members will be parked under contacts with no member tiers tied to for data import purposes

  5. You can either create tier-specific rewards or make one reward available to multiple tiers

For example, if you set up "Welcome Rewards," they should be targeted to new sign-ups and visible only to users in the "Basic" tier

Target by Segment

  1. Navigate to the Rewards section in your Eber dashboard

  2. Select or create the reward you want to target to a specific segment

  3. Under reward settings, find the Target by Segment option

  4. Select the user segment you want to target (e.g., frequent monthly visitors)

  5. Note: You'll need to create segments first through the segmentation feature in People tab

Target by Date Field

  1. Navigate to the Rewards section in your Eber dashboard

  2. Select or create the reward you want to trigger on specific dates

  3. Under reward settings, find the Target by Date Field option

  4. Set the trigger date (e.g., customer's birthday)

  5. Configure how long the reward should be visible (e.g., birthday month only or on birthday itself only)

Configure Viewing Preference

  1. Navigate to the viewing preferences section for your reward

  2. Choose one of the following options:

  • Default: Only targeted users can see the reward

  • Always Show: The reward is visible to everyone

  • Always Hide Except for Campaigns: Only visible within specific campaigns

Tips

  • Create meaningful segments based on customer behavior patterns

  • Use date-targeted rewards for special occasions beyond birthdays

  • Test your reward visibility to ensure only targeted users can see restricted rewards
