Dotdigital integration with Eber enables seamless connection between your Eber platform and Dotdigital marketing automation tools. Prerequisites Setup Guide

Setting up Data Fields in Dotdigital

  1. Navigate to your Dotdigital portal

  2. Go to Audience section and click on Contacts

  3. Select any contact to access the data fields section

  4. Click on Data Fields at the top navigation, select Data Fields from the left menu and click on New Data Field

  5. Add all required data fields (ensure all 4 fields are created)

    • EBER_POINT_BALANCE (Text)

    • EBER_TAGS (Text)

    • EBER_TIER_ID (Number)

    • EBER_TIER_NAME (Text)

  6. Save your changes

Preparing Dotdigital Programs

Ensure all necessary programs are set up in Dotdigital before proceeding with the integration. These programs will be used for event triggers from Eber.

Integration Setup Guide

Setting up API Connection

  1. Navigate to Eber XM and go to the Apps section

  2. Find Dotdigital under Integrations and click Enable

  3. Click Settings and Add to create a new integration connection

  4. Name your integration and save it

  5. Access your Dotdigital account:

    • Go to Settings in your user profile

    • Navigate to Access > API Users

    • Click Add New API User

    • Fill in the description and set a password

    • Save the API user settings

  6. Return to Eber's Dotdigital connector:

    • Enter the API user email provided by Dotdigital and API user password you created

    • Click Connect

Setting up Programs

Here's how to set up trigger programs for events from Eber to Dotdigital:

  1. Access the program settings in the Eber connectors after setting up your integration connection

  2. You will see two main events available:

    • Welcome event

    • Reward claim event

  3. For the Welcome email program:

    • Locate the dropdown menu for the welcome event

    • Select the appropriate welcome program you've created in Dotdigital

  4. For the Reward Claim email program:

    • Find the dropdown menu for the reward claim event

    • Select the corresponding reward claim program from Dotdigital

Important: Make sure you have already set up these programs in your Dotdigital account before attempting to configure the triggers, as they need to exist first to appear in the dropdown options

Once you've selected the appropriate programs for both events, click save to complete the setup.
