Birthday Rewards enhances customer engagement by showing appreciation on their special day. By implementing birthday rewards, businesses can deliver personalized experiences that strengthen customer relationships and drive repeat business.

Step by Step Guide

  1. Navigate to Loyalty > Rewards in the Eber dashboard

  2. Click Create to set up a new reward

  3. Activate the reward by toggling it on

  4. Select the appropriate reward type (Standard for businesses without integration, POS for those with integration)

  5. Enter a descriptive Reward Title (e.g., "Happy Birthday!")

6. Set Points Needed to 0 for a free birthday reward

7. Upload an appealing Cover Photo to enhance user experience on the web app

8. Add personalized messages in Reward Description and Reward Description After Claim

9. Include relevant Terms and Conditions (e.g., "Claim in stores only" "Redeem within 7 days")

10. Configure Enable Claim or Use Button on Web based on your redemption preference

11. Set a Password for store app security if needed

12. Go to the Target tab and enable Target by Date

13. Configure when the reward will be visible to users (e.g., day of birthday, 7 days before, first day of birth month)

14. Set reward redemption limits in the Limits tab (e.g., 1 claim per user)

15. Set reward expiration in the Limits tab under Expires (e.g., 7 days after claim)

Tips

  • Consider offering a free item or significant discount

  • Ensure staff are trained on how to validate and process birthday rewards to avoid abuse
