Introduction

Withholding points is a new feature in Eber that allows businesses to implement a delay mechanism between when points are earned and when they become available for use. This feature ensures transaction validation periods are respected and prevents premature point redemption, making loyalty program management more secure and efficient.

Step by Step Guide

Part 1: Configure Withholding Duration

  1. Navigate to Loyalty > Points > Point Advanced Settings

  2. Select Create and enter a Name for your new points rule

  3. Locate the Withholding Duration section

  4. Set your desired withholding period (e.g., 14 days)

Part 2: Points Rule Configuration

  1. Go to Loyalty > Points Rule

  2. Select the desired rule to modify

  3. Access Points Advanced Settings

  4. Choose applicable withholding settings

Part 3: Transaction Monitoring

  1. Access Insights > Points Transactions to track point status

  2. Review Usable Date column to see when points become available

  3. Use Withholding transaction ID to track original transactions
