Introduction
Setting up a digital gift card in Eber allows businesses to offer convenient electronic gift cards to their customers. This feature enables businesses to create customizable gift cards with flexible denominations, expiry periods, and usage conditions. Digital gift cards can enhance customer engagement while providing a seamless purchasing and redemption experience for both businesses and customers.

Step by Step Guide
Go to Commerce tab > Gift Card, click “Create”
2. Upload a gift card cover photo of your own design (600x379px). Additional photo is optional here.
3. Enter the gift card name and configure amount settings:
a. Set fixed amounts or activation-only options. The activation-only option is referring to first time purchase of the gift card only.
b. Configure payment amount and top-up credit values. Payment amount is the amount that customer pays for the gift card while top-up credit values refer to the amount that customer gets for the gift card.
c. Add multiple denomination options if desired.
d. If you want to remove the amount, simply click on the "-" icon.
4. Set purchase limits and select display options:
a. Configure balance limits (gift card purchase limit for customers pool - 0 for unlimited)
b. Choose between "paying" or "receiving" display modes.
5. Configure validity and quantity settings:
a. Set expiry duration (days, months, or years)
b. Define minimum and maximum purchase quantities for each member (up to 2,000)
6. Add gift card description and terms & conditions.
7. All newly created gift cards are activated by default. If you want to pause/disable the gift card selling, click "Inactive" button.
8. Select gift card type and sales channels:
a. Choose to sell the gift card online (Digital) or offline (Physical). You can check both boxes if you want to sell both. Please keep in mind that there are additional costs incurred when selling physical gift cards due to printing collateral. We will go through physical gift cards in greater depth in another article.
b. "Gift card is for sell in":
i) Member Web App: Members can use their credit cards to make direct purchases on the member portal.
ii) Using StoreApp in-store: Members must present at store to make purchases, and some actions must be completed by storefront members.
9. Configure other options:
a. gift card and the credit usage
b. allow physical gift card purchases on the Webapp
c. allow partial usage
d. how a member tops up the gift card credit - WebApp or StoreApp (or both), and so on. Check the box(es) according to your strategy.
10. You can also limit the use of this gift card to specific locations/stores by selecting the store group or store name (if you have multiple stores and done configured in Channel).
11. If your gift card can only be purchased by selected segments, you can select from the dropdown list (segment needs to be preconfigured in People tab in order to displayed in the list.).
12. You may also enable credit sharing by checking the "Enable Sharing" box. This allows members to share their credit with friends and family via email/link. You can also add text to the gift card so the recipient knows what it is about when they receive the link.
13. Limit and Target Group Setting
a. Allow businesses to control and manage gift card redemptions
b. Blockout dates: Business can set specific dates when gift cards cannot be redeemed, helping manage redemption traffic and prevent overcrowding during peak periods.
14. Click [ Save ], and you're done!

Note that spending of a shared gift card is immediate and live. The card's balance will be visible to both parties, the purchaser and the person that the purchaser shared the gift card to. If members only want the gift card to be used on one visit, they can withdraw it after the recipient has completed the payment, by tapping on the "Revoke Shared URL" button.
