Setting up referral rewards for different membership tiers

Now that you've done the basic setup, let's get started on advanced customisations.


1. On the same page, scroll down to "Rules" section, click "Create".

2. Under "Conditions", you can select the member tier for which this setting applies for either referrer or referee.

3. Check the box if you would like the minimum spend rules to apply.

4. Under "Actions", select how would you like to reward your referral/referee. In terms reward(s) or points. Choose the reward from the "Reward" dropdown list (configured in "Rewards Settings") or input the value in "Points".

*Please note that these rules will override the default "Rewards Setup", if any.

5. Input a specific name for "Member Tags" if you would like to group a specific group of referrer or referees. This feature helps to track the referral program transactions and gauges the effectiveness of businesses’ referral program. If needed, you can also "Save Segment" for future use, such as points rule targeting for these specific groups of referrals.

6. Repeat step 1 to 5 for every tiers' settings if applicable.

Case study:

  • Rewards to Bronze referrals for 50 points, Silver referrals for 100 points and VIP referrals for 150 points (with min spending required from referees).

  • Rewards referees for 100 points, regardless of tiers provided hitting minimum spend requirement.
