Introduction

Referral rewards for different membership tiers allow businesses to create targeted incentive programs that encourage existing members to refer new customers. This feature enables customization of rewards based on both the referrer's and referee's membership levels, creating a more sophisticated and engaging referral system.

Key Benefits

  • Customizable rewards based on membership tiers

  • Real-time reward issuance upon successful referrals

  • Flexible rule-setting for different membership combinations

  • Cumulative spending tracking for referees

Step by Step Guide

  1. On the same page, scroll down to "Rules" section, click "Create"

  2. Under "Conditions", select the membership tiers for both referrer and referee

  3. Set any additional criteria (minimum spending, etc.)

  4. Under "Actions," choose whether the reward is granted to the referrer or the referee.

  5. Enter a value in "Points" or select a reward from the "Reward" dropdown list (configured in "Rewards Settings").

  6. Optionally, add "Member Tags" to group referrers/referees for tracking

  7. Save and repeat steps 1-6 for every tier’s setting if applicable

Important Notes

  • Rules are processed in order of creation - the first matching rule will be applied

  • If no specific rules match, the system defaults to basic settings

  • Minimum spending requirements are cumulative across multiple purchases

  • Rewards are issued instantly when criteria are met

  • Each successful referral can only trigger rewards once

Tips

  • Review all rules carefully before implementation

  • Test the referral system with different membership combinations

  • Monitor reward distribution regularly

  • Consider strategic reward levels that incentivize higher-tier memberships

What's Next?

  • Set up your first referral reward rule

  • Test the system with sample referrals

  • Monitor referral performance and adjust rewards as needed
