Introduction

Activity Messages in Eber allow businesses to send automated notifications triggered by specific events, such as welcome message, purchase confirmations, or reward notifications. These messages help keep customers informed and engaged by delivering timely updates relevant to their interactions. By automating these notifications, businesses can enhance customer communication and improve operational efficiency.

Key Benefits

  • Enhanced Customer Experience: Customers receive real-time updates about their activities, ensuring they are always informed about important events such as reward points earned, purchase confirmations, or account changes.

  • Operational Efficiency: Automating notifications reduces manual effort, freeing up resources for other important tasks.

  • Consistent Communication: Ensures that every customer receives relevant and consistent messages, improving brand communication and trust.

How to Enable Email for Activity Messages

  1. Navigate to Messaging, select Activity Message. This section allows you to manage and customize automated notifications for different triggering events.
There is 3 types of messaging options for you to select:
    a. Email
    b. SMS
    c. Notification in WebApp (usually activated by default for common activities)

  2. Choose the type of activity message that you want to enable. Each Eber offers a variety of templates for different scenarios, such as welcome messages, purchase confirmations, reward notifications, or account updates. Review the available templates to find the one that best fits your needs.

    Categorizing Triggers (Basic vs. Advanced):

To help manage the numerous triggers, consider categorizing them as "Basic" or "Advanced" in your documentation. This will guide users to focus on the most commonly used notifications first.

    • Basic Triggers: Focus on frequently occurring events like "Points Earned," "Welcome Message," and "OTP Reset."

    • Advanced Triggers: Include less common events such as "Password Reset," "Contact Info Change," or events related to specific program features.

  3. Enable the selected templates by switching on the toggle for each relevant message type. You may need to customise the email content in the email template function before you select the preferred email template.

  4. Once enabled, the system will automatically trigger these messages when the corresponding events occur. For example, if you enable a welcome message, the system will send a notification to the customer upon every new sign up.

  5. If you wish to track the messaging history, navigate to Insights, select Messaging. Use the Email Message or SMS Message tabs to monitor sent notifications. This allows you to track which messages have been sent and identify any potential issues.

  6. Review all settings to ensure accuracy and consistency. Make sure the correct templates are enabled and that the messaging content is appropriately customized. Doing a test mail here is highly encouraged.

Example: Test out your messaging content for welcome message

  1. Create a test account in your customer database.

  2. Input the test email.

  3. Activate the email messaging function.

  4. Check for the notification in the test email.
